Transmittance - Limited Edition
Transmittance - Limited Edition
Transmittance: The amount of light that passes through an object, versus the amount of light that is absorbed, refracted, or otherwise changed by the object.
Late one evening, as you’re tucked in bed with your latest favorite book and a mug of tea, it strikes you: The thought that, no matter the number of years you have left, you will never be able to finish all of the books in your personal library.
Gazing about the room, “library” is a bit of a misnomer, a kind and gentle word for the leaning towers that line your hallways and the shelves that bow under the weight of their tomes.
Turning the thought over in your head, it takes time before you alight on a potential solution. Once it has sunk its teeth in, though, it doesn’t let go. As you click off the light, one word stands in the forefront of your mind:
“Immortality.”
-----
Using a regular deck of cards, learn how long it takes your character to learn the secrets of immortality. As you tell their story, determine whether or not they choose to achieve their goal and live forever (so they can read all the books in their library, of course).

Please Note: I live with a dog and while he doesn’t spend much time in the office where I work, it’s almost inevitable that his fur will make it into your package. I will, of course, do my best to sanitize all products before they leave my house, but if you’re allergic to dogs, please take care when opening.
